This guide explains how to connect the Wingman View to your mobile device and Bushnell Golf app by downloading the app, pairing the WMV Remote, Wingman View speaker, and Wingman View Audio in order. It details each pairing step, notes that the app must run in the background for Music Mode, and provides troubleshooting tips. The remote uses a CR2032 battery.
CONNECTING YOUR WINGMAN VIEW TO YOUR MOBILE DEVICE & BUSHNELL GOLF MOBILE APP
To connect your Wingman View to your phone and the Bushnell Golf Mobile app:
• Download the Bushnell Golf mobile app at app.bushnellgolf.com/install or scan the QR code.
• If you are new to the app, you will be asked to set up a device after registration and select Wingman View. As a returning user to the app, select “See All” from “My Devices”, click “Add Device”, and select Wingman View from the list of Bushnell Golf devices.
• Follow the app’s on-screen instructions to pair and connect your Wingman View speaker and remote.
Note: After pairing, the Bluetooth on/off state will be the last set state once powered up.
ADVANCED PAIRING INSTRUCTIONS
There will be three devices connected in your Bluetooth settings once everything is paired:
- WMV Remote - This is the remote connection
- Wingman View - This is the app/speaker connection. This gives the speaker the distances and other functions that come from the app.
- Wingman View Audio - This is the basic Bluetooth connection with the speaker to play audio/music like a normal Bluetooth speaker.
Note: The app needs to be running in the background for the remote to work for Music Mode.
The devices need to be paired in this order: WMV Remote, Wingman View, Wingman View Audio; if any of these devices are already paired in Bluetooth when connecting to the app, it is best to disconnect/forget all devices related to the Wingman View from Bluetooth.
Make sure that the Wingman View is powered off when first setting up in the app; the remote needs to be paired first, and might not be able to connect if the speaker is on.
PAIRING REMOTE TO APP (WMV REMOTE)
In the app, select the Wingman View from the list of devices and select Continue
Hold the Bushnell Golf button on the remote for a few seconds until it beeps, then select Next
Check the box by your remote from the Select a device to pair prompt, then select Continue
Accept your phone’s Bluetooth pairing request, and when pairing is successful, the remote will beep once more and the app will proceed to the next step.
PAIRING SPEAKER TO APP (WINGMAN VIEW)
Turn the speaker on now by holding the power button down for a few seconds until you hear the tone. Then, press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker until you hear a tone (it will sound like a golf ball being dropped). Then, select Next
Check the box by your speaker from the Select a device to pair prompt, then select Continue
At the next Bluetooth pairing request, enter the six-digit number that can be found on the screen of the Wingman View and select Pair. You will hear the golf ball tone again when the speaker pairing is successful, and the app will advance to the next step.
PAIRING AUDIO TO PHONE (WINGMAN VIEW AUDIO)
In the app, select the Bluetooth Settings button at the bottom of the screen to navigate to your phone’s settings. You should see both the WMV Remote and Wingman View already paired.
Locate Wingman View Audio from the device list to pair, you should hear your phone play a tone indicating the Wingman View Audio has connected.
Return to the app, and it should advance to the final step. Select Complete Registration to finish.
In the app under My Devices, the Wingman View should have two serial numbers and battery indicators: one for the remote, and one for the speaker. When both of these are green, your device is paired and ready to use.
