iON Elite Device Interface Overview and Quick Start Guide – Bushnell Golf

This guide walks new users through charging and powering on the iON Elite GPS golf watch, navigating between the time screen and golf mode, and selecting a course to begin play. It also explains how to view key on-course data such as front/center/back yardages, change holes manually, and cycle through golf and menu screens for features like scorecard and settings.

CONTROLS, HOME, & PLAY GOLF SCREENS
1. POWER/MENU BUTTON - Press and hold to turn device on/off.
Swipe right or left to cycle through Time Screen, Play Golf Screen, Bluetooth Connection, & Scorecard List.

PLAY GOLF SCREEN DETAILS
2. CENTER DISTANCE - Distance to center of the green (or pin if you moved it).
3. BACK DISTANCE - Distance to back of the green or pin, if selected.
4. FRONT DISTANCE - Distance to front of the green.
5. HOLE/PAR/QUICK HOLE CHANGE - Current hole number and par. Tap for Quick Hole Change.
6. SCORE - User's current score relative to par. Tap to go to score entry.
7. HOLEVIEW - Tap to access Holeview and Shot Planning.
8. GREENVIEW - Tap to access Greenview to change pin placement.
9. SLOPE INDICATOR - (Blue Outer Ring) Illustrates distance mode and calibration status for Slope feature. (see page 6 for further explanation

QUICK START OPERATION
1. Charge the ION Elite’s internal battery, by connecting the charger to the back of the device and plug the USB Side into computer or wall.
2. Press and hold the Power button (1) to turn on the device. Time Screen will be displayed.
3. To Play Golf, swipe left to the Play Golf screen and tap the Screen on the Play Golf icon. The Ion Elite will connect to the satellites faster while being outside with a clear view of the sky.
4. Choose your course, swiping up/down and tapping on your selected course. The Play Golf (Front/Center/Back) screen is displayed.
5. The ION Elite has an Auto Hole advance feature, however, to change holes manually, Swipe Up/Down on touchscreen. To change holes, tap on the hole number to access the Quick Hole Change screen.
6. To cycle through mode/menu screens for Play Golf Mode (Front/Center/Back > Shot Distance, Score Card, Setting > Time/Home > Front/Center/Back), swipe Left/Right.

Cycle through Home Screen Options, Time > Play Golf, swipe Left/Right.

Q: How do I change the way the clock looks?

A: Press and hold down on the home screen for three seconds. Then, swipe up or down to choose your preferred look. Tap the screen again to save your change.

Q: Why does my iON Elite continue to show 183/167/151 on the screen?

A: Your iON Elite is shipped with a screen protector, that can easily be peeled off from the face of the watch.

Q: Is the iON Elite waterproof?

A: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme environmental conditions for a prolonged period of time. The unit is IPX7 rated; it is water resistant, but not waterproof. The device should not be submerged in any liquids.

Q: How do I turn the iON Elite off?

A: Please get in the habit when turning off the watch, hold down the power/ menu button until you see Bushnell Golf (and the ball going into the cup) appear on the screen, then let go of the button. The watch will continue its shut down procedure.
